If you can't contemplate saying 'I do' without having your beloved pooch in the wedding party, there is a fabulous option just awaiting your discovery thanks to a new link-up between England's most authentic, fortified medieval hotel and a doggy chaperone service.

Now, at breathtaking fairy-tale Northumberland castle, Langley Castle, you can not only have your doggy attend the wedding but also take advantage of the new doggy chaperone service provided by Mukki Pups Pawfect Days.  This  ensures your doggy has their own 'plus-one' with them throughout the ceremony.

You can choose how long you need the chaperone and also decide which package you want to select.  Just decide how many hours you want your dog to be present, whether or not you want them to just have a brush and spray or a full bath and blow-dry before the wedding, and various other things.  Bespoke packages can also be created.

Your dog will be chaperoned for the photos – which at Langley Castle can be in the glorious woodlands, on manicured lawns, in front of the stunning castle building or even on the 1350 battlements.

Collection and delivery of your pooch, pre and post-event, is also part of the service on offer from the chaperone gurus at Mukki Pups Pawfect Days and pre-wedding chemistry sessions are also built in.

Your wedding itself could be a traditional castle wedding, a tipi wedding, a marquee wedding or an outdoor woodland wedding – it's entirely down to how you want to use the amazing facilities at Langley Castle.

Dog-friendly rooms are also available at the castle, should you wish your doggy to stay over, once the dream wedding has been played out.

Wedding and Events Co-ordinator, Katie Livingstone-Evans Lowes, says: "We love to see well-behaved dogs at Langley Castle weddings and, in fact, I had our family dog, George, at my own wedding here.  The key thing is to ensure that they feel relaxed and don't get bored.  By providing them with a chaperone, with whom they have already become familiar, you can make sure their tail is wagging all day, without putting the onus of looking after them on any friend or family member who just wants to enjoy the wedding.

"The chaperone can also make sure they are in the photos, without disastrously putting muddy paws everywhere.  They can build in those all-important comfort breaks for your doggy, provide them with a few snacks  and treats to see them through the wedding day, and even maybe take advantage of our own castle Scents of Place guide.  This tells them where to sniff out the best aromas in our grounds, if they want to enjoy walkies.  They – and the happy couple – will have the best possible wedding day."

Head to www.langleycastle.co.uk to find out more about the wedding options available to you, whether you want an elopement wedding for two, a micro-wedding or a full-blown exclusive-use wedding, in which you and your party take over the entire castle and all the rooms.

You can also download the Doggy Guide to Canine Castle Capers, which provides lots of dog-friendly advice and tips for those staying at Langley Castle and travelling within wider Northumberland.  It also includes the Scents of Place guide that Fido and his plus-one can enjoy, on the big day.
