Windermere Marina Village, a dog friendly accommodation provider, looked at a number of factors centred around pet friendliness to reveal the UK staycation spots best suited for taking your furry companions.

Google search data revealed a 350% rise in searches for 'dog friendly UK stays' in the last 5 years. Of the eight popular UK holiday destinations analysed, the luxury Lake District accommodation provider analysed four integral factors (pet friendly accommodation, walking trails, vet availability, and dog friendly pubs) to reveal the most dog friendly stays for the Summer.

Coming in first was Cornwall, with an overall score of 2.4. Award winning for its dog friendliness, the result came as no surprise, with 173 talking trails available to explore. When it's time to recharge, enjoy one of the 161 dog friendly pubs around the area. With its stunning coastline, picturesque fishing villages, and rich cultural heritage, Cornwall beckons travellers seeking both relaxation and adventure with their canine companions.

Yorkshire Dales
The Dales came a close second at 2.3 with vast expanses of open moorland, rugged hills, and meandering rivers; the Dales offer endless opportunities for exploration with your pet. There are hundreds of dog friendly accommodations in the area, ranging from charming bed and breakfasts to traditional country inns.
