The Cavapoo is the most SPOILED dog in the South West
New data from personalised pet gift shop Yappy.com has revealed the South West's most spoiled dog breeds, with Cavapoos topping the list!
This highly-coveted breed, which is a cross between a Poodle and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, are often affectionately referred to as 'Cavoodles'!
Cavapoos are also the number one most spoiled breed in the city of Wells whilst they also appear in the top 20 most pampered dogs in Plymouth and Truro – highlighting the popularity of this sought-after breed which has almost doubled in value in a year from £1,615 to £3,030 (according to a recent study by Benchmark Kennels).
Dog owners in three South West cities also appeared in the list of top 20 UK city-dwelling dog owners who spoil their dogs the most – owners in Exeter are the 10th most likely to spoil their dogs followed by nearby Bath (16th) and Truro (17th).
WHO ARE THE SOUTH-WESTS MOST SPOILED PUPS?
Whilst Cavapoos are overall the most pampered pooch in the South West, the breed varies by city. Data from Yappy.com reveals that Ibizan Hound is the most spoiled breed in Gloucester, whereas it's Siberian Huskys that are being pampered by their Bathonian owners.
Overall, it's the lively Chihuahua that is the second most spoiled breed. Celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Demi Moore and Britney Spears have these iconic small breeds, which are ideal to take on trips within handbags. Cockapoo's come third in the most spoiled breed dogs list, with Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers coming in fourth and Flat-Coated Retrievers coming fifth.
MOST SPOILED DOGS IN EVERY REGION
Based on the average spend of dog owners, Yappy.com has calculated which breeds are the most spoiled in each area of the UK.
The map identified that in Wales the most spoiled dog breed is the Shar Pei, in London it's the Dandie Dinmont Terrier and in Yorkshire, it's the Chihuahua!
WHICH DOG NAMES LEAD TO THE MOST SPOILED PUPS?
The data from Yappy.com also found that the names of pups also has an influence on their spoiled nature and uncovered that dogs named Disney are the most spoiled in the UK.
Pooches named Waffles and Marmalade come in close second and third place, and pups called Franky, Oz and Macey being the least likely to be living a life of luxury.
